Any recommendation for my German Shepherd? Which might be the best car step for my dog (I drive a smaller SUV). She has some problems with her hips, so she should not have to jump...
Thanks
Hi Katie,
In your case, I would recommend the PetSTEP Original Folding Pet Ramp because it is a ramp (and has no steps). That should work with her hip problems.
Hopefully, she does recover. :)
All the best,
Susan
Hello my dog is about 100 lbs and I need a ramp so he can get into the back of ouir new truck. The old truck he was still able to jump up but this truck appears to cause my dog anxiety about jumping up. Either the black interior rather than the beige of our previous vehcile... or the truck itself is just enough higher. I used an inverted bucket today and he was able to jump onto the bucket and then into the truck no problem.. But a huge storage bin is a pain in the arse to haul around. Looking for somethign that will allow him a safe entrance and exit from the higher truck.
Hi Monica,
Thank you for your question. I think, there are two options (depends on the height of your truck/SUV):
1) Pet Loader Light (foldable stairs)
2) Heininger PortablePET Step (this might be the best option in your case)
If you do not care about transporting a 3' Ramp, then the Petstep Folding Ramp is another good option.
I hope that was helpful,
All the best,
Susan from DogsRecommend
Is there anything that can handle 240 lbs. I have old english mastiffs and it is too much on their joints to jump out of our truck
Are there any good ramps that attach to the trucks?
I have a younger dog in the back of my Toyota Prado, and my 15 year old labradoodle sits in the back seat. She's been finding it difficult and i have a bad back. WHich of these is better for accessing the back seat of a parked car (where space is at a premium)
